My love for decorating and design started to evolve when I was young. One of my favorite pastimes was designing and redesigning my own room. I would even go over to my grandma’s home and move around her furniture or dust my mom’s shelves so I could rearrange her knickknacks.

As an adult I double majored in general marketing and merchandising. I used this education to work in retail management, with of course my favorite part doing the merchandising and displays. Although I enjoyed the first few years in retail, my true passion was interior decorating so I established Rooms By Jess in the fall of 2003. I am so blessed to have a career that I am passionate about and that creates spaces for others that bring them joy!  I am honored to have received Best of Houzz 2016, 2017, 2019 and Best of La Crosse County 2017, 2019.

I am married to a very supportive guy and a mother to two really great children. We live in Onalaska and enjoy attending church, spending time with friends and family, and participating in a variety of sports. I love reading and exercising. I guess you could say we love to stay busy!
